Troubleshooting: Fix Kick from Match & "Access Denied"
If you are getting kicked from the Battle Bus, sent back to the lobby with a "VPN/Proxy" error, or seeing "Access Denied" inside the swapper, don't panic. This usually isn't a ban—it's a software conflict or a file lock issue.
Close Conflicting Background Apps
Fortnite's EasyAntiCheat (EAC) and BattlEye are extremely sensitive. If another Kernel-level driver (like Valorant's Vanguard) is running, the swapper cannot inject the skin files, or the game will kick you for "Modified Files".
You MUST close these before swapping:
*Right-click their icons in the System Tray (bottom right of Windows taskbar) and select Exit.
Reset Game Files
If you crashed mid-swap, your local game files (.pak) might be corrupted. This causes the game to kick you instantly.
Try the "Revert All" button
Open ExfrySwapper Settings ➝ Click the red "Revert All Changes" button. This restores your backups.
Verify via Epic Games (If Revert fails)
Open Epic Games Launcher ➝ Library ➝ Three Dots on Fortnite ➝ Manage ➝ Verify Files.
"Access Denied" Error?
If the app says "Access to the path ... is denied", it means Windows isn't letting the swapper write to the Fortnite folder.
- Solution 1: Right-click ExfrySwapper.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
- Solution 2: Make sure Fortnite is CLOSED. You cannot swap skins while the game is running.
- Solution 3: Check if the folder is "Read-only" (Right click Fortnite folder ➝ Properties ➝ Uncheck Read-only).
